C-QUEST MEDICAL LAUNCHES BLOOD CULTURE COLLECTION DIVERSION SOLUTIONS AT ENA 2023

C-Quest Medical unveiled two new blood culture collection diversion solutions at this year’s Emergency Nursing Association Convention in San Diego.

Founded to address the clinical and cost concerns stemming from false positive blood culture test results, C-Quest Medical introduced a Sterile Diversion Vacuum Tube and Collection Procedure Kit, both designed to minimize false positive blood culture test results and optimize collection outcomes.

Designed to meet the needs of the phlebotomy team, the Sterile Diversion Vacuum Tube is available individually packaged, or included in a standard or customized Procedure Kit. The Tube enhances accuracy, as bacteria that may be present sub dermally is diverted and sequestered from non-contaminated blood, virtually eliminating false positive results. Safe and simple to use, a 1.5 mL fill indicator near the bottom of the Tube facilitates initial blood specimen diversion accuracy.

Nurses will also appreciate the user-friendly design of C-Quest Procedure Kits. An intuitive 3-pocket, step-by-step configuration helps streamline the collection process.
